Earlier in the year, we emailed 5,000 Moving companies across North America, to find out how they currently receive and interact with online leads.
Firstly, thanks to all that took the time to complete the survey, your insights have allowed us to adapt our moving calculator to better serve your customers.

Which services do you offer?

Just over 1 in 3 of you only provide moving as a service, with 62% offering temporary storage as well, in some form.
Calcumate was originally setup for self-storage, but we quickly saw that we needed to create a new product in order to offer a successful moving estimator.
How many of your leads come from your website?

This was an interesting insight, only 1 in 5 said most of their inquiries came from their website.
This is a stark contrast to the self-storage industry, where we know 55% of customers prefer to book online.
With a universal trend for people to complete more activities digitally, and having to make fewer phone calls in the process, this shows there’s an opportunity for the moving industry to gain more leads through an improved web platform.
