With the expectation from customers today that you’re able to offer the option to reserve and book storage units online via your website, either through your own set up or from a dedicated software solution like the Booking Portal from Kinnovis, you’ve likely spent time ensuring that your online booking funnel isn’t holding anyone back.

For the most part, booking a self-storage unit online will consist of the following steps:

Choose your facility location.
Choose your unit size.
Add any additional services like Insurance or Packing Supplies.
Select your move-in date.
Add your contact details.
Save card details for all future payments.
Receive confirmation that your booking has been successfully received.

We’ve made setting this up really straightforward as well. Firstly, follow the steps on your own website’s booking portal, as if you were reserving a particular unit size from a location. When you’ve reached the right page, save the URL.

Once you’ve completed that step and signed up to Calcumate:

Within the calculator builder, follow the steps to section 2, Units.
Select Edit Unit and give it a Unit Name, height, width and depth.
Under URL to reserve (optional), paste the URL that you’d saved previously from your own website.
Save the unit.

If you have a facility with several unit sizes, you can also bulk import all your units, each with their own unique URL, using a spreadsheet template available within the calculator builder.

Once the calculator is finished and on your website, customers will be automatically sent from the calculator to the correct reservation page in one click!
